There has been another victim of the "unsubscription syndrome". Huggable Hernan decided to unsubscribe from our yahoogroup last week after an event concerning the privacy of his email address.
Now, this is just the kind of thing that we do not like to happen. The primary reason for us having the e-group is for us to keep in touch with each other. And once you unsubscribe, the connection which easily links you to us is lost.
Our group is a mix of so many different personalities. And we surely have differences in opinion. We can disagree about certain points (and we certainly have disagreed about many things in the past). But always remember that we can disagree without being disagreeable.
I hope Hernan realizes soon enough that life at kumbento88-B can be terribly lonesome.

I met him the other night on my way home. Sa may megamall fx waiting station.
I immediately asked him why he left the group. Simply put, he told me to "cool things" muna raw. Not his exact words but it was what he meant.
I will outline here, the best I could his reasons as he told me then:
On Derrick's email and email address issue:
1. He never received the email that Derrick Macutay sent him prior to him receiving the email from the "unknown" person. (I put the "unknown" to highlight that his initial reaction then was it was an unknown person using his work email)
2. He has no trouble with giving out his personal email (his gmail account) but not his work email (the abs-cbn account)
On the others' comments about the issue and why he did not defend himself:
1. He got overwhelmed by the emails (sobra dami yata agad sa kanyang pananaw) regarding the issue thus was unable to respond. But he was not affected by the things said... (nagulat at nabigla lang siguro)
2. He was in a way looking for someone to break the ice so that he could find an opening to start defending himself but found none.
3. He unsubscribed to "get away" for the meantime and let things cool down
On coming back...
1. He will definitely come back!!! Just not in the immediate future.

I guess everyone needs a space sometime, so, let us give it to Hernan. He is our Huggable Hernan after all. Hope he will be back soon!
